Benjamin Kolodziej has written widely on the topics of sacred music, organs, hymnology, theology, and musicology, on topics practical, theological, or historical, for a diverse array of journals including The American Organist, The Diapason, The Tracker, The Lutheran Witness, The Canterbury Dictionary of Hymnology, Concordia Theological Quarterly, Concordia Historical Institute Quarterly, Theatre Organ, and Methodist History. He has written three books: Joyful Singing: A Story of Lutheran Sacred Music in Texas (Augsburg, 2022), Music from the Hilltop: Organs and Organists at SMU (UNT Press, 2023), and Portraits in American Lutheran Sacred Music (CPH, 2025.)
